Our most popular topsoil, AWBS Blended Loam is a general purpose landscaping soil that is ideal for general use and planting schemes in and around the garden. Available to buy in jumbo bulk bags or half bags - see our bag size guide below. Product may differ from image. 

Please note - All AWBS sustainable topsoils are a blend of soil, clay, silt and sand and are certified to PAS 100, the widely recognised standard that deals with recycled organic material. Recycled green waste and compost is often added to topsoils to improve the nutrient content, however this does mean that occasionally small particles of plastic, wood, stone or glass may be visible. This will not affect the performance of the material in any way. These elements are purely visual and the material is always chemically clean. Due to the loamy nature of this soil, periods of persistent rain followed by warmer weather may cause it to form a crust on the surface which may require further raking or braking up. This product is sold by volume, not weight. Bulk bags contain approximately .54m³ (500 litres)

Coverage and volume

AWBS Blended Loam Topsoil is available to purchase in a half bulk bag or jumbo bulk bag. Please note it is advisable to have topsoil at least 100mm deep when laying turf. 

• A half bag has an approximate cubic volume of .27m³ and will cover approximately 5-6m² at a depth of 50mm.
• A full jumbo bulk bag has an approximate cubic volume of .54m³ and will cover approximately 10-12m² at a depth of 50mm.
