The Digby Stone range of Italian country porcelain paving is a great product to use if you want to enjoy the benefits of porcelain paving while accommodating a smaller budget. Available in three fantastic colours, these slabs feature a natural looking, slightly riven surface which will give off a subtle sparkle in sunlight. Available individually in a 600x600mm size.
AWBS recommend all porcelain paving be laid on a full bed of wet mortar and a slurry primer be used when laying the slabs. Porcelain paving is a man made product and can be subject to colour and texture variations between differing batches of paving. It is always recommended that you dry-lay your slabs before laying, particularly if you're using pavers ordered at different times or from different batches as this should alleviate problems with variations in pattern and strong colour clashes. If laying more than one pack of paving, it is always advisable to mix the packs to minimise issues with colour and style. If you need further help, we've put together a comprehesive guide on how to lay porcelain paving slabs.
The benefits of porcelain paving
Hard wearing, resistant to fading, exceptionally durable and great to look at, porcelain paving is the most innovative product in paving at the moment. The unique manufacturing process that porcelain paving goes through allows the slabs to have many benefits while also enhancing the look of your outdoor space. Porcelain paving is frost, fade, scratch and stain resistant, and features a slightly textured surface that will provide a slip resistance. If you're after more information, we've written a comprehensive guide to porcelain paving and the various different styles that are available from AWBS.
